With the latest release of its flagship product, DJI continues to lead the consumer drone market in terms of cutting-edge tech. A few days back DJI released two new drones: Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom, two of the most advanced drones currently available in the market.
The Mavic 2 series boasts a few significant improvements over the original Mavic series. Notable among them is the use of Hasselblad-branded camera. Hasselblad is a renowned Swedish camera maker and DJI had made a large investment in the company recently. The camera boasts a 20-megapixel 1-inch sensor similar to the one in Phantom 4 Pro. The Mavic 2 Pro comes at a price-point of $1449 while the Mavic 2 Zoom is $200 less at $1249. In terms of flight time, the DJI claims a flight time of 31 minutes for the Mavic 2 Series. This is a slight improvement from the first Mavic series which had 29 minutes of flight time.
Overall, DJI continues to set new standards when it consumer drones and its leadership of the market is set to remain unchallenged for the time being.
